"Yvan Caillat is a reliable man you can count on for help when it comes to learning to drive, especially for the first time. He knows how to put the learner driver at ease with a calm, professional attitude. I'd also like to point out that he holds a federal driving instructor's diploma, which is far from a given for all driving school instructors (some competitors have no qualms about taking on pupils with inadequate training, nor do they care that their nonchalance and commercialism may endanger the lives of others). I'd also like to point out that Yvan Caillat has a vast client base, not just of male but also of female customers, because his crystal-clear reputation and flawless professionalism also attract women who turn to him after unpleasant experiences due to the inappropriate behavior of certain other driving instructors. What's more, many people turn to him because success rates on the first attempt at the practical driving test with him are significantly better than with other instructors. Indeed, well-informed people naturally seek quality over quantity; Yvan has shown me that he embodies excellence in every sense of the word, as well as performance. His performance and professionalism are all the more striking when the student encounters difficulties during training. To illustrate, in stressful situations, such as encounters with more aggressive motorists or complex traffic situations to be analyzed, Yvan maintains an unflappable composure and is quick to react to hazards, to keep the vehicle driving safely (both his vehicles are very reliable, by the way). His responsiveness to hazards is a reflex, and he encourages his pupils to do the same, i.e. to internalize the same safety automatisms and anchor them in their memory and body language. This is not only essential for the safe and reassuring accompaniment of students who may sometimes be prey to anxiety (although this was not frequently my case. However, I did witness his skills in dangerous or ambiguous situations on the road), but also to enable the student, once he or she has his or her license, to reproduce the same optimal driving conditions while minimizing the risk of accident, which is often serious or even fatal. One aspect he does not neglect is active accident prevention, often overlooked by other instructors and students in favor of easy money and the inadequate speed of obtaining an undeserved driver's license. Far from being a rigid and severe instructor, Yvan Caillat expresses himself with ease and fluidity. He is concise in his instructions, but never hesitates to re-explain any doubts or questions to the student in another way. He also encourages students to ask questions, and to engage in dialogue whenever the situation allows. His personality, sense of humor and naturally benevolent charm crown his solid skills and long-standing experience as an educated trainer. I can only recommend him to driving novices, especially those who intend to take the practical test in one go, as well as to regulars who would like to improve.
