"Trust me: If I passed, you all can"

I’m writing my experience in English, but I did my driving test in German.

The test started at 9am. The expert had an Italian surname, I can’t remember it (something with M). He was very calm & gave all instructions in a very low tone (this made me even more relaxed).
I started out pretty relaxed too (it is possible, just breathe deeply) & that relaxes stayed till the end.
So, we started driving. First task: parking on the right side backwards - went out great. Later on we drove in 30 zone. I kept concentrated not to drive above it. It went out well. After that I got a task to “Fahrzeug wenden”. It took me some seconds to find a place to do so (there were little “hills” of snow on the edges of the road). I turned the car without any problem. Another thing well done. We continued driving over Birmensdorf to Wettswill & from there on back to Zurich (via highway). Last order was to drive back to Albisgütli. On the big Y crossing little bit before (close to Sihl city) I really badly “cut” the side I should have turned to (i went to right lane instead of a left one - my weak side) & this was the first mistake I would describe as one that MIGHT not be tolerated. Nad after only 40 mins driving with the expert, he said it was enough. I passed the test. Later on he gave me some tipps & to drive very often to the city of Zurich to get used on the traffic & “cutting” the “spur”.
This mistake wasn’t so bad because (as he said) during the whole drive he felt very comfortable & driving was pleasant.

I’ve been hearing so many “bad” stories on the experts… I can only advise you not to listen to them and make your own experience. Don’t stress yourself in advance with the things you didn’t even experience. Wait and see. The more peace you have inside yourself, the more peaceful will you drive. Trust me. I was very nervous days before the test and I decided not to do that any more. I know it’s easy to say, but this is what brings better results. Have no fear. The worst what can happen is that you have to come next time. How sweet is that??? ;)
