VKU Leu (Zürich)

VKU-Leu is a specialized provider of traffic safety education (VKU) in the city of Zurich. We offer only the VKU course and no driving lessons. This means you can take the mandatory course with us regardless of which driving school you choose for your driving lessons—or even without a driving school at all.

The course costs CHF 99 and is paid in full. The price includes all teaching materials and the official course certificate for the Department of Motor Vehicles. There are no additional costs and no registration fee.

The VKU covers the four legally required components—Vision and Perception, Traffic Environment, Traffic Dynamics, and Traffic Tactics—in four blocks of approximately two hours each, spread over two sessions. We currently offer weekly courses: Monday and Wednesday evenings starting at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday mornings starting at 9:00 a.m.

You must have a valid learner’s permit for categories A, A1, B, or B1. There is no final exam; you’ll receive your certificate immediately after the last session. VKU courses completed since 2021 are valid indefinitely.

The course location is at Militärstrasse 76, 2nd floor, 8004 Zurich—about a five-minute walk from Zurich Main Station and right next to the Kanonengasse bus stop. Registration is done online, and you’ll receive confirmation immediately.
